How do you get your organisation talked about by the media?

In this one day workshop we work on the PR pyramid: what to put in your press releases – in the right order – to make sure they’re useful.

We look at getting the tone right for individual media, and for their readers, viewers and listeners.

Lots of small organisations put off contacting the press. Surely journalists are too busy for the likes of us? Journalists are never too busy for a good story, as long as it helps them to do their job.

With all our days, this is a workshop – you’re expected to work! We’ll look at:

  1. writing
  2. editing
  3. targeting
  4. tone and style

 

Bring a pen, paper and a bucketful of enthusiasm, and by the end of the day you’ll have a press release ready to send to the media. You’ll also have a reliable method to follow in future.
