This is the "Business Brick Wall Demolition Team" with Internal Analysis.
If you feel as if you're the only one running around trying to get things done and you get no support at all from your co-workers, then you will probably find that what you believe you're working for and what they believe they're working for have followed divergent furrows for some considerable time. It's time for someone independent to come in and ask them what they think. (They won't tell you but they will tell us, because they know we'll tell you.) You're probably in for a surprise when you read the results of our analysis.
This approach does cause a shake-up. Sometimes the people you work with have not stopped to ask themselves why they do the jobs they do and when they fill in our questionnaires some of them realise that what they really want is to travel the world, have children, be promoted or open an organic garden centre. Sometimes you lose the staff who are not really interested in your organisation but it's generally healthier when it's their decision not yours.
One company we worked with ended up redecorating the office and replacing the sales manager (he resigned of his own accord). To cut a long story short they stopped picking up little, unprofitable accounts and won a huge contract from Cadbury.
With another (extreme) case, the managing director decided that he couldn't stand the place any more and sold it.
One took the whole team out for an 'away day', finally gave them the pay increases that he'd promised and remembered to tell them what he and his co-director were aiming for, so that they could help to aim there too.
