Sarah McCartney

Sarah McCartney set up Little Max in 1994 after working for 13 years in advertising and marketing. As a self-employed consultant she missed the interchange of ideas that comes with a big marketing department so she took an MA in marketing and joined forces with fellow graduates to form Little Max.

Her history includes a spell as school swot at Boldon Comprehensive, Tyne & Wear (still holder of both the O levels and under 14s long jump records), a science degree at Durham plus six years in advertising agencies and six years in the marketing department of the Guardian and Observer Newspapers.

Sarah is on the board of the ground-breaking writers' group 26.

She also likes film, playing music, making clothes and having coffee at Liberty's Art Cafe and is a qualified yoga teacher with the BKS Iyengar school.
